Abstract
A 68-year-old man was found in oral examinations to have 4 masses on the bilateral edge of the tongue. T1-and T2-weighted MRI clearly showed them to be hyperintensive. CT showed low-density areas on the bilateral edge of the tongue. The tumor was excised under general anesthesia. The histopathological diagnosis was lipoma.
In reporting this case of lipomatosis on both sides of the tongue, we found in a review of literature a total of 20 cases, including ours but ours was the first, to our knowledge, from the field of otorhinolaryngology.
